Standard Float Glass

The main, basic bread and butter product of the flat glass industry. Float glass can be used on its own in single glazed form where there are no safety issues or energy saving requirements involved. More often though it is laminated to another panel of float glass to make it safe, or forms the outer leaf in a double glazed unit.
